“So We Think We Can Dance” will take place at the Darien Arts Center in the spring. A completely student-run production, “So We Think We Can Dance” is a performance curated by the Darien community’s youth and the DAC Junior and Senior companies.

The Samples Concert Fundraiser is bringing a mix of reggae-influenced rock to the Wall Street Theater this spring! An annual fundraising event to benefit the Darien Arts Center, this concert will feature the Colorado-based band The Samples to perform their famously enticing music and get the Darien community dancing. The Samples have shared the stage with Phish, The Dave Matthews Band, Hootie & the Blowfish, and the Allman Brothers Band and have been featured on The Tonight Show and House of Blues.

The Rowayton Arts Center will feature an “In the Gardens” exhibit to celebrate the return of spring. The exhibit will be in person at the center at 145 Rowayton Avenue. Local artists are encouraged to submit their artwork for this gallery installation!

Play With Your Food is back for a new season of one-act plays and an irresistible boxed lunch! Located at the Fairfield Theater Company, Play With Your Food is a unique way to showcase local theater and short performances while enjoying a gourmet lunch from local restaurants. Performances run on Tuesdays and tickets are $60. Play With Your Food is part of JIB Productions, Inc., a premier not-for-profit producer of performing and visual arts programs in and around Fairfield County.

Family Fun
The Darien Nature Center hosts incredible activities and programs for all ages throughout the year. Their special Vacation Programs are perfect for kids who love animals and exploring the outdoors and are held seasonally — upcoming programs include Groundhugs Vacation Program and the Crickets Vacation Program. More information regarding age groups and fees will be posted closer to the registration dates.

Classes & Workshops
The Darien Community Association will bring four sessions from their academic lecture series “The Arctic - From Deep Freeze to HotSpot” to the community. Focused on climate, politics, and geopolitical tensions in the Arctic, this four-part series will be available via Zoom to DCA members and the public. Each session will feature expert keynote speakers to discuss their experience in the Arctic and answer questions from the community.
